Im Frühjahr 2019 hat die Kulturstiftung Sibirien eine neue Initiative zu dem Thema Digital Humanities of the North gestartet. Hierzu wurde ein Konsortium von Ethnologen und Sprachwissenschaftlern gegründet, die über Jahre hinweg umfassende digitale Dokumentationen zu Sprachen und Kulturen des Nordens angelegt haben. Das Ziel des Vorhaben ist es, diese wichtigen Daten in strukturierter und kompatibler Weise dauerhaft zu sichern und verschiedenen Nutzergruppen über das Internet besser zugänglich zu machen. Für sie sind entsprechende Webportale zu gestalten, die sich an deren besonderen Nutzerinteressen orientieren. Zur Diskussion näherer Einzelheiten dieser Digital Humanities of the North Initiative fanden mehrere Treffen mit Konsortiumsmitgliedern statt sowie zwei größere Workshops in der Kulturstiftung Sibirien vom 16. bis18. Mai und vom 1. bis 3. Juni 2018. 

In spring 2019, the Foundation of Siberian Cultures launched a new initiative entitled Digital Humanities of the North. A consortium of anthropologists and linguists who have compiled comprehensive documentations on the languages and cultures of the North for many years was founded on this occasion. The aim of the project is to permanently secure these important data in a structured and compatible manner and to make them more accessible to various user groups via the Internet. Corresponding web portals need to be created to this effect, reflecting the special needs of particular user groups. Details of this project have been discussed during several consortium meetings, as well as two workshops held at the Foundation of Siberian Cultures, May 16-18 and June 1- 3, 2018, respectively.

Workshops on the Digital Humanities of the North

Весной 2019 г. Фонд культуры народов Сибири запустил новую инициативу на тему «Цифровые гуманитарные науки Севера». С этой целью был создан консорциум этнологов и лингвистов, которые на протяжении многих лет составляли обширную цифровую документацию по языкам и культурам Севера. Цель проекта - обеспечить продолжительное хранение этих ценных данных, предварительно структурировав и совместив их, и сделать их более доступными для различных групп пользователей через Интернет. Для них должны быть разработаны соответствующие веб-порталы, ориентированные на конкретные интересы пользователей. Было проведено несколько встреч с членами консорциума для обсуждения деталей этой инициативы «Цифровые гуманитарные науки Севера», а также два крупных семинара в Фонде культуры народов Сибири 16-18 мая и 1-3 июня 2018 г.
