Deutsch-französische Workshop-Reihe des Alfred-Wegener-Instituts, Helmholtz-Zentrum für Polar- und Meeresforschung (AWI) und des CEARC an der Universität Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.

Die einmal jährlich stattfindenden Workshops haben zum Ziel, junge Forscher/innen aus verschiedenen Disziplinen der Natur-, Sozial- und Geisteswissenschaften zusammenzubringen, die ein Interesse an den polaren und zirkumpolaren Regionen haben. Das Atelier ermöglicht einen intensiven Austausch über verschiedene Aspekte der Arktisforschung durch Vorträge und Diskussionsgruppen. Damit dient der Workshop der Vernetzung vor allem junger Wissenschaftler/innen in diesem Gebiet. Der interdisziplinäre Ansatz des Workshops dient auch dazu, die Arbeitsbereiche der beteiligten Institute zu ergänzen, die beim AWI eher naturwissenschaftlich, beim CEARC eher geistes- und sozialwissenschaftlich ausgerichtet sind. Aus diesem Atelier heraus sollen gemeinsame interdisziplinäre Projekte zum Thema Klimaforschung mit Bezug auf die nachhaltige Nutzung des arktischen Raumes entwickelt werden.

Franco-German workshop series of the German Polar Institute AWI (Alfred-Wegener-Institut, Helmholtz-Zentrum für Polar- und Meeresforschung) and the research centre CEARC (Cultures, Environnements, Arctique, Représentations, Climat) of the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.

Early stage researchers from different disciplines in the Humanities and Sciences who are interested in the circumpolar regions participate in these annual workshops offering intensive exchange thanks to presentations, panel discussions and group work, allowing participants to build up their own networks in Arctic studies. The interdisciplinary nature of the workshop allows the two institutions to extend their research themes focused in the case of AWI on natural science and, in the case of CEARC, on human and social science. The workshop is also supposed to lead to interdisciplinary projects on the theme of climate change and the sustainable use of the Arctic environment.

Gateway to the Arctic

Gateway to the Arctic (Ворота в Арктику) – Германо-французская серия семинаров Центра полярных и морских исследований имени Альфреда Вегенера (AWI) при Институте Гельмгольца и CEARC при Университете Версаля (UVSQ).

Цель ежегодных семинаров - собрать вместе молодых ученых, занимающихся различными дисциплинами естественных, социальных и гуманитарных наук, и интересующихся полярными и циркумполярными регионами. Это способствует интенсивному обмену мнениями по различным аспектам исследования Арктики через доклады и дискуссионные группы. Таким образом, семинар служит, прежде всего, созданию кооперационных связей между молодыми учеными в этой области. Междисциплинарный подход семинаров также расширяет сферу работы институтов-участников, так как в AWI они имеют более естественнонаучную направленность, а в CEARC - гуманитарное и социальное направление. На основе этих семинаров будут разработаны совместные междисциплинарные проекты по теме климатических исследований с учетом экологически устойчивого использования Арктического региона.
