Das von der National Science Foundation geförderte Forschungsprojekt Math in Cultural Context der University of Alaska Fairbanks untersuchte mathematisches Wissen bei indigenen Völkern in Alaska, Grönland und in Sibirien. Erich Kasten dokumentierte in den Jahren 2012 bis 2015 mathematisches Wissen bei Korjaken auf Kamtschatka, das hier in einigen Beispielen gezeigt wird.  

The research project Math in Cultural Context of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, supported by the National Science Foundation, was dedicated to the study of mathematical knowledge among the indigenous peoples of Alaska, Greenland and Siberia. In the years 2012-2015, Erich Kasten documented mathematical knowledge among the Koryak on Kamchatka, some examples of which are shown here.

В период с 2012 по 2015 гг. Эрих Кастен документировал математические знания коряков Камчатки, что показано здесь несколькими примерами.
